
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has announced the appointment of Nate Hardesty as the resort’s new general manager and area vice president. A 23-year Hyatt veteran, Hardesty brings over two decades of hospitality leadership experience to his new role, where he will oversee the operations and strategic direction of the property, alongside The Residences at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley.
Most recently, Hardesty served as managing director at Thompson Austin and tommie Austin – the latter during its opening, following his role as general manager at Andaz West Hollywood in California.
“I’m honored to join the exceptional team at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley and help shape the guest experience at this landmark resort,” said Hardesty. “Drawing on my years with Hyatt across the country, I’m eager to bring thoughtful, purpose-driven hospitality to one of the most inspiring and sought-after mountain destinations in the U.S.”
Throughout his Hyatt career, Hardesty served as regional vice president of sales, Americas. In this capacity, he managed over 60 directors of strategic corporate sales accounts and oversaw territory and third-party teams across the U.S., Canada and Latin America. He also held leadership roles at properties such as Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe and Grand Hyatt Denver.
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley marks Grand Hyatt’s debut in Utah, offering luxury accommodations and access to Deer Valley’s newest mountain terrain, which will span 3,700 skiable acres once completed.
