Third-party hotel management company Spire Hospitality has appointed Zaw Oo as general manager of Hotel Fera Anaheim, a DoubleTree by Hilton, in Orange, CA. Oo brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to his new role at the 460-room property.

“I’m excited to be part of the Spire Hospitality team and to step into this role at Hotel Fera Anaheim,” Oo said. “Anaheim has a unique energy, and our focus will be on delivering great service and making each guest feel genuinely welcomed. I’m looking forward to building on the hotel’s momentum and helping the team reach new heights.”

Oo most recently served as the general manager of M Social Hotel New York Times Square, a 480-room lifestyle property in Manhattan. He has held leadership roles at properties across major markets, including the Kimpton Palomar San Diego, The St. Regis Houston and InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.

Born in Yangon, Myanmar, Oo is a first-generation immigrant who began his professional career in finance, spending a decade as a banking center manager with Bank of America in the San Francisco Bay Area before transitioning to hospitality.
