A new chapter for Villa Beatrice
Located in Portofino, Villa Beatrice was originally built as a summer residence over a century ago. After a complete restoration directed by the Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the villa now opens its doors under Belmond management.
The villa, built in 1913 by the famous Tuscan architect Gino Coppedè, is a perfect example of early 20th-century architecture. Inspired by Art Nouveau and neo-Gothic styles, it stands out as an emblematic monument of Portofino. Renovation work preserved these original elements while integrating contemporary touches.
“The villa was meant to resemble a cherished family home, enriched over generations. Each room tells a part of its story.” – Martin Brudnizki
A luxurious and sustainable retreat
Villa Beatrice is not only a historic monument, but also a haven of luxury and sustainability. It boasts five spacious suites, each offering private services such as a dedicated butler, private chef, yoga instructor and personal coach.
What’s more, it offers panoramic views over the Gulf of Tigullio, stretching from Paraggi and the Cinque Terre to Portofino.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, the villa’s renovation followed ecological practices, using local materials and energy-efficient solutions. The lush gardens, designed by Marco Bay, blend harmoniously into the Mediterranean landscape.
The villa offers direct access to the Mediterranean coast, and guests can also enjoy exclusive experiences such as private cruises, cooking classes and stargazing sessions with an astronomer. Personalized services such as private transfers to and from the airport are also available.
The integration of this new villa, alongside the Splendido and Splendido Mare properties in Portofino, thus enables Belmond to consolidate its portfolio on the Italian market. Previously, the group acquired a property on the shores of Lake Como in 2023.
