This development reflects YOTEL’s focus on the growing extended-stay market, combining apartment-style living with hotel services.
Valpre Capital, the investment firm behind the project, is overseeing the transformation of the three buildings into YOTELPAD Athens, integrating YOTEL’s signature design and technology-driven approach. Each location will feature amenities such as Mission Control, Grab+Go, Wash+Go, and equipped gyms, with the Peiraios building also offering a rooftop terrace with views of the Athenian skyline.
“Athens is buzzing with energy — a city where ancient history and modern creativity come together in such a unique way. With international arrivals hitting record highs, hotel occupancy on the rise, and recent government measures limiting short-term rentals, the market is ready for innovative, branded extended-stay offerings. YOTELPAD Athens reflects our confidence in this opportunity and our commitment to delivering smart, efficient spaces in the heart of the world’s most exciting cities.” – Rohan Thakkar, Chief Development Officer at YOTEL
The development aims to cater to both short-term and long-term guests, providing flexible living spaces designed for comfort and convenience.
“We see Athens as a truly global destination with untapped potential in the extended stay market. Partnering with YOTEL allows us to create something that feels fresh and international, while still staying true to the character of the city’s vibrant neighborhoods.” – Ahmad Hariri, Managing Partner at Valpre Capital
This project follows the success of YOTELPAD London Stratford and is part of a broader global strategy to expand YOTEL’s leadership in the extended-stay hospitality segment.
Furthermore, YOTEL continues its European expansion with as recently inaugurated YOTEL Geneva Lake, marking its 22nd property and further strengthening its presence in Europe. Additionally, YOTEL London Shoreditch opened in 2022, adding to the brand’s growing portfolio in the UK. These new developments highlight YOTEL’s commitment to expanding in key urban destinations, providing design-forward, tech-driven accommodations to meet the evolving needs of modern travelers.
