The Venice Times will feature 30 rooms and offer a Venetian-inspired décor that reflects the city’s culture and heritage. Guests will have easy access to local landmarks such as the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, and La Fenice theatre, all within walking distance. The hotel’s central location ensures transport connections via Vaporetto water buses, allowing guests to explore the city effortlessly.
IHG’s Vignette Collection, launched in 2021, caters to owners of high-end independent hotels who seek to retain their property’s unique identity while benefiting from IHG’s global distribution and operational systems. The Venice Times, with its locally-inspired offerings, is positioned to provide guests with an authentic Venetian experience while delivering high-quality services. The hotel will feature a cocktail bar, an outdoor terrace, and a restaurant serving local cuisine.
“With the signing of The Venice Times, Vignette Collection, IHG is delighted to strengthen its presence in one of Italy’s most iconic destinations. Strategically positioned near the city’s main gateway, the hotel is poised to benefit from strong year-round demand, further solidifying our luxury and lifestyle positioning in the market.
We are excited to continue the expansion of Vignette Collection alongside our partners at Pacini Group. This signing marks our second collaboration, following the opening of Garner Hotel Rome Aurelia, and reinforces our partnership to bring exceptional hospitality experiences to guests in Italy.” – (Mrs) Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts
“Venice, the second most visited city in Italy, remains one of the world’s top tourist destinations, admired for its rich history, unique architecture, and global appeal. That’s precisely why we are heavily investing in this city through our Group’s offerings.
The hotel’s rebranding represents a unique opportunity to provide guests with a truly different stay—where responsibility, community, and appreciation of the territory come together, fully in line with the Vignette Collection brand. We aim to deliver a high-quality stay, offer additional services with ease, and allow guests to experience the destination like a local.” – Emidio Pacini, CEO & Owner at Pacini Group
The collaboration marks a continued effort to expand IHG’s Vignette Collection brand, with properties already in key locations like Rome and Venice. The Venice Times is the third Vignette Collection hotel to sign in Italy in just two years, following the Hotel Alexandra and Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa, while the hotel will also join IHG’s existing Hotel Indigo Venice – Sant’Elena property.
With strong interest from developers, IHG is set to further grow the brand in Italy and beyond, continuing to offer distinctive and culturally rich experiences for guests while supporting local communities through its philanthropic initiatives.
