Both properties, located in two culturally rich and historically significant cities, will offer flexible and design-forward apartment-hotel experiences. The Hobson Cambridge will occupy a historic former police station and cater to both short- and long-term stays, with a bar and restaurant currently in development. The Wellington Glasgow, located just off George Square, is targeting younger, experience-driven visitors, particularly business and leisure travellers, by offering accommodations with easy access to the city’s nightlife and conference venues.

“Our arrival in Cambridge and Glasgow signals a confident step forward for TFE Hotels’ European strategy, tapping into two cities with rich cultural appeal, strong tourism demand, and growing business travel. These two properties align with our vision of offering flexible, design-led apartment-hotel experiences in vibrant, globally connected cities.” – Asli Kutlucan, CEO of TFE Hotels Europe

The expansion into the UK market follows TFE Hotels’ successful operations in Europe over the past two decades, with properties in Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Switzerland. This move is part of the group’s broader European strategy, aiming to meet the growing demand for apartment-style accommodations in key business and leisure destinations.

The two upcoming Adina hotels will be pivotal in enhancing the brand’s visibility across the UK and beyond. They are expected to provide a sustainable return on investment, offering a mix of luxury and heritage.

“Launching Adina Apartment Hotels in the UK is a significant operational milestone for TFE Hotels. Our teams have been working closely to ensure a seamless brand introduction that not only meets the expectations of today’s travellers but maintains the high service standards Adina is known for.” – Moritz Klein, Head of Operations – EU and UK at TFE Hotels Europe

With the strong demand for adaptable accommodations and the brand’s proven operational excellence, TFE Hotels continues to expand its footprint in the UK and Europe. This can also be confirmed by the recent expansion strategy of the TFE Hotels in the European market.

More particularly, the opening of the first A by Adina property in Vienna in 2025 marks a significant step in the Australian group’s strategy to introduce premium apartment-hotel experiences in Europe.

This is part of a broader expansion plan that already includes a solid presence in Switzerland, following the opening of Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva, and two properties in Germany, located in Düsseldorf and Stuttgart.

With these additions, TFE Hotels’ European portfolio now comprises 18 properties, reinforcing the company’s commitment to increasing its footprint in major European cities while catering to the growing demand for flexible, design-led accommodations.
