Developed in house, the app has now hit the British market

The UK’s oldest travel agency, Thomas Cook, now part of the European brand eSky Group, has released its first app for its customers.

Travellers can now download the mobile app iOS and Android devices to book ATOL- protected dynamic packages in a single transaction from their phones, choosing from hundreds of airlines and thousands of hotels worldwide.

“We wanted users to be able to comfortably and quickly plan their trips here and now, in one place,” said Alan French, chief holidays officer at eSky Group and Thomas Cook.

“With the introduction of the app, we offer a one-stop service: from flights to accommodation to support during the holiday.

“A global trend shows that although customers’ holiday and city break bookings are still more likely to end up on a computer, the share of the mobile channel in sales is increasing.

“As eSky Group, we consistently focus on multichannel, but we see that smartphones are the future. Our Thomas Cook app is becoming not only a tool for purchasing entire tours, but also a personal guide that inspires travel in a simple way”, he added.

The OTA’s new tool was developed by the eSky Group’s in-house development team and accommodates a range of payment methods including Google Pay, Apple Pay, and traditional methods such as Mastercard and Visa cards.
