
The Chatwal, New York, a luxury hotel in Manhattan and part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, has appointed Ryan Planski as its new director of sales and marketing. With over a decade of experience in the hotel industry, Planski will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing at the hotel, focusing on driving revenues, collaborating on marketing partnerships and solidifying the hotel’s reputation in his new role.

Most recently, Planski served as the director of sales & marketing at Renaissance New York Chelsea, a role he was promoted to in 2023. Previously, he played a key role in opening the property in 2019 as senior sales manager. Earlier in his career, he worked under Marriott’s Autograph Collection at The Kessler Collection in Orlando as senior catering sales manager.

Located on 44th Street, The Chatwal, New York, is steps away from various entertainment, dining, shopping, Broadway theaters and major media and financial hubs. Originally built in 1905 by Stanford White, it was restored by architect Thierry Despont and relaunched in 2010. The hotel features 76 rooms, including 28 luxury suites and 14 themed accommodations with designer terraces.
