Cvent Europe Ltd

Cvent, a global industry-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, successfully hosted the fourth edition of Cvent Accelerate Sydney at The Fullerton Hotel on Wednesday, 16 July 2025. The event attracted over 460 event planners, marketers, and hospitality professionals, setting a new attendance record and highlighting the growing momentum in the MICE industry.

Cvent Accelerate Sydney equipped attendees with essential skills and insights to thrive in the evolving events industry. They gained practical knowledge on leveraging the latest event technology to create memorable experiences and drive business growth.

Industry-experts led sessions highlighted strategies for designing, engaging and crafting impactful events, emphasising the importance of creativity and innovation. Attendees learned effective collaboration techniques and sponsorship strategies to enhance event success and manage costs. The event offered a comprehensive understanding of how to adapt to industry changes, ensuring attendees are well-prepared to deliver exceptional events that resonate with their audiences and achieve organisational goals.

Attendees also explored Cvent’s innovative AI-powered solution, CventIQ. This solution offers a suite of intelligent features designed to enhance attendee experiences and optimise event management. With the successful completion of Cvent Accelerate Sydney, I’m thrilled to see the powerful impact it’s had on both our attendees and the broader MICE industry. This year’s event marked a clear strategic shift toward Event-Led Growth—reframing events from operational tasks into engines of customer acquisition and retention. Attendees walked away with tangible insights on how to position events as primary channels for driving growth, rather than supplementary tactics. By highlighting the fusion of technology, strategy, and community, Cvent Accelerate empowered industry leaders to create unforgettable experiences that deliver real business outcomes and long-term brand loyalty. While customer engagement and experience have become critical factors in redefining event management, Cvent Accelerate showcased the transformative power of blending events, MarTech, and data to enhance customer engagement. Insights around event retention, planning, management, and technology’s role in advancing sustainability goals fostered greater collaboration among venues, organisers, and suppliers.

Innovators shared insights on using attendee foot traffic to generate power and implementing aeroponics to reduce food waste.

Additionally, Cvent, in partnership with ZEERO Events, continued its commitment to sustainability at Cvent Accelerate with an initiative to plant 283 trees in Mozambique’s mangrove reforestation project. This effort, along with investments in UN Renewable Energy Projects, will reduce 46 tons of CO2e. In addition to this, 115 trees were gifted, achieving further reduction of 18,871 kg of CO2e by replacing traditional promotional items with ZEERO Events tree swag for attendees.

Cvent Accelerate continues to strengthen the fabric of the event industry in its fourth year, fostering collaboration and creating a dynamic space for professionals to exchange ideas and strategies.
