New openings across the British market
Adina Apartment Hotels will debut in the UK with two properties set to open in the third quarter of 2025: The Hobson Cambridge by Adina and The Wellington Glasgow by Adina. These new openings align with the company’s strategy to expand its presence in key European markets.
“The UK debut and the establishment of a UK Country Office by Asli Kutlucan, CEO Europe, is a natural evolution of TFE Hotels’ global strategy and signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter in one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets.” – Antony Ritch, CEO of TFE Hotels
The Hobson Cambridge by Adina will be located in a historic former police station, blending traditional architecture with modern design. It will feature 56 rooms and a signature bar and restaurant.

In Glasgow, The Wellington Glasgow by Adina will offer 98 studio apartments and is set to appeal to both business and leisure travelers, thanks to its proximity to conference centers, music venues, and the city’s nightlife.
Green Key certification, a commitment to sustainability
In addition to its UK expansion, Adina has also made significant strides in its sustainability efforts. As of July 2025, all 18 European Adina properties have been awarded the Green Key certification. This certification is a recognized standard for environmental excellence in the hospitality industry and reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices.
“With the successful completion of the certification process for all our European properties, we are making a strong statement about our long-term sustainability goals. This certification is the result of an intensive process, with all our employees actively involved.” – Asli Kutlucan, CEO of Adina Apartment Hotels Europe
Adina’s sustainability initiatives include switching to renewable energy, using eco-friendly cleaning products, offering regional, plastic-free breakfast options, and reviewing its supply chain to meet high environmental and social standards. Each Adina hotel has a designated Green Team to foster local environmental initiatives and promote sustainability throughout the organization.
Expanding the green commitment beyond certification
The certification process is part of Adina’s broader sustainability strategy, which includes continuous improvement and the active participation of employees in environmental awareness initiatives. “Sustainability is not a temporary project but a core element of our corporate culture,” said Asli Kutlucan.
Adina is also involved in various sustainability initiatives beyond Green Key certification. In 2024, three of its Berlin locations were recognized as “High Performers” by Sustainable Berlin, and the Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva received the “Swisstainable Level III – leading” label, further demonstrating the brand’s dedication to a greener future.
