Dusit International has signed a joint venture agreement with French real estate investment firm SYDEL to create Dusit France, a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the Thai brand’s hotel portfolio across France. The announcement marks Dusit’s entry into the French market and was formalized during a signing ceremony in Paris on July 10.
“We are thrilled to partner with SYDEL to seek opportunities to expand Dusit’s footprint and bring our distinctive brand of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality to France – one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations,” Gilles Cretallaz, chief operating officer of Dusit International. “This partnership marks an important milestone in our global expansion strategy, and we are confident that our unique blend of cultural authenticity, innovation, and gracious service will resonate strongly with travellers and developers alike.”
Dusit and SYDEL will focus on identifying locations in key French destinations and supporting asset owners in repositioning projects. The partners will introduce new hotel concepts that focus on well-being, sustainable value and guest experience.
Among the brands being considered within the agreement are Dusit Thani, Devarana – Dusit Retreats, Dusit Collection, Dusit Hotels, dusitD2, Dusit Princess, ASAI Hotels and Dusit Suites, which cover a range from lifestyle midscale to luxury long-stay accommodations.
The venture will also draw on SYDEL’s local market knowledge and operational expertise to inform strategic decision-making. Dusit currently operates 294 properties across 18 countries, including 55 hotels and 239 luxury villas under its Elite Havens brand. In Europe, the company manages Dusit Suites Athens in Greece.
