Seamill Hydro is asking locals and guests to help name its brand-new restaurant space and cocktail lounge.
The hotel’s new restaurant and cocktail lounge is currently under construction and set to become a significant new dining destination on the West Coast. The winner of the contest will receive a year’s worth of free dining.
The space, formerly known as ‘The Arran Suite’ is being fully reimagined as part of the hotel’s ongoing transformation under RAD Hotel Group, which took ownership in 2023.
As part of the development, the footprint of the existing Orangery restaurant will be extended to create two distinct new spaces with floor-to-ceiling views over the Firth of Clyde. Once complete, the new restaurant will increase guest capacity by 50%, expanding from 120 to 180 seats for guests.
The brand-new cocktail lounge will adjoin the extended Orangery, offering guests panoramic coastal views.
Aaron Kyle, sales and marketing director at The RAD Hotel Group, said, “At RAD, we’re passionate about creating warm, memorable spaces where people can relax, reconnect, and enjoy great Scottish hospitality and service. This new restaurant and cocktail bar is our latest investment in that vision, and we want the people of Ayrshire to help us give it the perfect name.”
The hotel remains open throughout development and the new restaurant is expected to open later this autumn. Seamill Hydro is part of the RAD Hotel Group.
Owned by Robert and Vivien Kyle, the RAD Group has been operating for over 20 years. The group’s portfolio comprises eight hotels across Scotland including the Lochside House Hotel, Dalmeny Park House Hotel, The Royal Hotel and Hetland Hall Hotel.
