IHG Hotels and Resorts has passed the milestone of one million open rooms worldwide, marking continued growth in demand across its 20 hotel brands in over 100 countries.
The hotel group, which operates more than 6,700 properties globally, said the achievement reflects strong performance in the first half of 2025 and sustained momentum in key markets, including the United States, Greater China and the EMEAA region (Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa).
IHG has doubled its brand portfolio over the past decade, and its global development pipeline includes more than 2,200 hotels.
Recent openings include Kimpton Mas Olas Resort and Spa in Mexico, Holiday Inn Kyoto Gojo in Japan, voco Malta, and Hotel Indigo Hainan Clear Water Bay in Greater China.
Elie Maalouf, chief executive of IHG Hotels and Resorts, said: “Reaching one million rooms reflects the deep trust and confidence our guests, owners and investors place in IHG and our brands.
“But more than that, it’s a celebration of our colleagues, who help millions of guests live their best lives every single day – be it with a warm welcome the minute they walk through our doors or helping make memories in life’s big events.”
