Food Network personality Nik Fields is launching a new multi-concept venue in Phoenix, Ariz., later this month called The Collective. As a cross between a coworking space and an all-day café, The Collective will house two of chef Fields’ concepts — salad brand The Mix, and coffee brand The Grind — as well as an Entrepreneurial Hub, where people can use the free WiFi and host meetings and events.

“I would find that The Grind was popping during the during the day, but would taper off at noon, and The Mix would not be busy at all during the mornings, so I just thought to myself, ‘Why don’t I just combine them together and have two vibes under one roof?’” Fields, who is also known as “The Chic Chef,” said. “I’m right by two universities, so I wanted to build something where students can get fuel for their body and mind and use WiFi and be comfortable.”

Menu highlights of The Grind include the S.H.E.O Biscoff Caramel Breve (espresso blended with heavy cream and Biscoff caramel), and the Boss Babe (a matcha lavender latte).

The Mix features a menu of classic salad options topped with Fields’ own line of olive oils and vinegars including a Sicilian Greek, Downtown Cajun Shrimp Cobb, and 3rd Street Taco salad options.

“We want to inspire people through our menu offerings, but we also want to fuel their mind,” Fields said. “We’re giving them the opportunity to build a space where they’re able to focus. Like our drink called The Focus, which is cucumber and mint. Mint helps you focus and digest your food and the cucumber helps with hydration. We build our menu to increase your focus so you can stay on the grind.”

The Collective will also have some exclusive menu offerings, including seasonal beverages for the first time as well as breakfast sandwiches and a build-your-own waffle bar.

Currently, Fields owns one location of The Mix, one of The Grind, as well as a wine bar and pizza shop in the Phoenix area.

Moving forward, Fields is considering opening more locations in both the Phoenix and New York City area. She envisions adding more concepts to future Collective locations like replacing coffee with a smoothie bar or adding a quick-service pasta concept.

The Collective is scheduled to open in downtown Phoenix on Aug. 25.
