Dear Olivia Bar & Kitchen, a new concept from P Hospitality Management, has opened in Parkland, Fla., near Boca Raton.
Dear Olivia is led by hospitality veterans and owners Eddie and Christina Pozzuoli, and Paul Greenberg, who co-founded American Social Bar & Kitchen, which has locations in Florida cities Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.
Dear Olivia is named after Greenberg’s 9-year-old daughter. The restaurant seats 82 in the main dining room. The indoor/outdoor bar has 19 seats inside and 17 on the adjacent patio. The deck, featuring a view of the adjacent lagoon and fountain, accommodates as many as 90 customers.
“We’re excited to bring a new and unique concept to Parkland that focuses on having fun as much as it does on great food and cocktails,” Greenberg said in a statement. “Whether it’s unwinding with drinks for happy hour, watching games on one of our many TVs, enjoying a great dinner with friends or family, or even a quick bite with the kids after a soccer game, there is something for everyone.”
Greenberg said Dear Olivia has televisions, but it is not considered a sports bar.
“We knew we had big shoes to fill taking over the former Déjà Blue space,” said the Pozzuolis. “But we’re so excited to blow people away with something fresh and fun that we truly believe Parkland has been waiting for.”
Their other concepts include such South Florida restaurants as Corvina Seafood Grill in Boca Raton, Prezzo in Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens, and Eddie & Vinny’s Coastal Italian in Coral Springs.
The menu includes tortilla soup, Korean-style steak tips, mushroom and black truffle flatbread, burgers, beer-battered fish and chips, shrimp and grits, beef tenderloin medallions, bowls, and salads.
The beverage program is under the direction of Jose Gill, who spent 13 years helming the cocktail program at American Social.
Dear Olivia’s design plays on a palette of soft greens, aquas, blush corals, and creamy neutrals.
P Hospitality Management is led by the Pozzuolis and Greenberg.
