Sunday Hotel, the premium brand launched by SoftBank-backed OYO, plans to more than double its number of four-star and five-star managed hotels in the UK by the end of 2026.

The brand currently operates 20 properties across the country, after debuting in 2024 with the Lansbury Heritage Hotel near Canary Wharf, in London. Its current portfolio includes sites across London, Cardiff, Bristol, Liverpool, Exeter and Dundee.

According to Sunday Hotel, the expansion would focus on management contracts for independent hotels, typically ranging from three to 15 years, with flexible terms. It claims its management model increases revenue by 25% to 30% and cuts operating costs by up to 40% through the use of technology and economies of scale.

Puneet Yadav, head of Sunday’s UK business, said: “We are committed to the UK market and see tremendous potential in partnering with independent hotel owners who are looking for worry-free, sustainable revenue from their assets. Our ‘managed hotels’ lets us handle every aspect of operations, ensuring consistent quality and occupancy.

“Our goal to double our managed portfolio reflects the robust demand and trust that partners place in our operational expertise.”

Sunday Hotel was launched in India and began international expansion in August 2024 with properties in Dubai and London. It now operates in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
