Christina Fry has been appointed general manager of the Thompson Austin and tommie Austin dual-brand hotel.
With more than 13 years of hospitality experience, Fry has dedicated her career to the Hyatt portfolio, which started as a front office agent at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. Most recently, she served as general manager of Andaz West Hollywood. Before that role, Fry held several leadership positions—including director of rooms and director of food and beverage—at various Hyatt properties such as Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort and Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa.
“Throughout my career with the Hyatt brand, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the level of service it delivers and the value of cultivating a team culture that reflects such a distinguished portfolio,” she said. “I’m excited to bring that perspective to Thompson and tommie Austin and continue to uplift such a distinctive pairing that’s already making a strong impact in the Texas capital.”
Opened in 2022, Thompson Austin offers 212 guestrooms and suites, as well as an exclusive floor of 17 residential suites, while tommie Austin offers 193 all king bed guest rooms. The two hotels are united by a curated lineup of shared amenities, including a 6,000-square-foot fitness center with a rentable sports simulator, a rooftop pool, poolside dining at Arriba Abajo Rooftop Cantina and two ground-floor culinary concepts: The Royale Room and Fifth Street Diner.
