Vision Hospitality Group is on an opening binge. Today, it announced the grand opening of the dual-brand Home2 Suites by Hilton Cleveland and Tru by Hilton Cleveland in Tennessee. The hotel becomes the 44th hotel in Vision’s portfolio and its 26th in the state as the Chattanooga-based company continues its Southeastern focus and expansion.
Earlier this month, Vision opened the 139-room Element Wilmington, N.C., the second Element by Westin property in Vision’s portfolio, followed shortly after with the opening of the 184-room, Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown, a $60-million development.
Vision Hospitality is big believer in the dual-brand concept, especially the Home2/Tru combo: In May, it broke ground on the dual-branded Home2 Suites by Hilton and Tru by Hilton in Lookout Valley, Tenn. “This dual-branded property represents our continued commitment to thoughtful development in markets we know,” said Mitch Patel, founder and CEO of Vision Hospitality Group.

It’s newest dual-brand opening is five-story hotel with 140 guestrooms. The two brands—Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton— offer guests two distinct experiences—Tru, characterized as a value-driven experience designed for shorter stays, and Home2 Suites with residential-style amenities suited for extended visits. Shared amenities in the hotel include 800 square feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool and public areas.
“We are excited to officially open this dual-brand property in Cleveland, Tenn.,” said Patel. “This project marks a significant milestone in our continued growth and highlights our strong partnership with Hilton. It also reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in communities that are important to us.”
Cleveland is the seventeenth-largest city in Tennessee, but has the fifth-largest industrial economy with 13 Fortune 500 manufacturers, including Amazon, Whirlpool and Coca-Cola.
