The Hoxton is set to open its first Irish property in Dublin’s Creative Quarter this November.
The site on Exchequer Street, formerly the Central Hotel, has been redeveloped as a 129-room hotel.
The restored Victorian building will include a lobby with a bar, an all-day Peruvian-inspired restaurant Cantina Valentina, a sandwich shop and wine bar, a basement club space and the return of The Library Bar.
The project was led by Ennismore’s in-house design team, AIME Studios. The lobby incorporates elements inspired by traditional Irish pubs alongside contemporary finishes, with design features referencing Viking-era remains uncovered during development.
Rooms will be available in four size categories and use colour palettes based on autumnal tones, while the interiors combine decorative motifs with modern details.
The ground-floor restaurant, Cantina Valentina, will serve Peruvian dishes throughout the day. A second outlet, Dollars, will operate as a sandwich shop during the day and as a wine bar with bar snacks in the evening.
The venue will also introduce Groundwork, described by the brand as its first nightlife space, while The Library Bar, a long-standing feature of the former Central Hotel, will reopen with traditional furnishings and dark timber finishes.
The hotel is located close to George’s Street Arcade and Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, as well as Grafton Street and Temple Bar.
