Her experience makes her an ideal candidate

Corporate travel and expense specialist firm Navan has announced it has appointed Kim Harmer as chief travel advisory officer.

With more than two decades of experience in the global travel industry, Hamer is said to have a “proven” track record of transforming and optimising complex large-scale global travel programmes.

She previously spent nearly two years consulting at Results Plus and Garner, following her tenure leading Visa’s global travel programme.

Her 20-year career of travel management has seen her develop expertise in procurement, operations, and implementation across travel, payments, and expense.

Hamer has also held key advisory roles, including IATA’s Travel Management Advisory Group and chairing GBTA’s Aviation Committee.

“In today’s fast-changing travel world, great software isn’t enough; you also need people with hands-on expertise advocating for the customer,” said Michael Sindicich, president of Navan.

“Kim has run some of the most sophisticated travel programs in the industry and she will be a tremendous asset for us and our clients.”

Harmer added: “As a former travel manager, I’ve experienced how fragmented the business travel landscape can be.

“I joined Navan because it’s the company truly solving these long-standing pain points for both the traveler and travel manager at scale.

“Navan is turning innovations like NDC, integrated payments, and AI from buzzwords into real levers for change, which is exactly what the industry needs.

“I’m excited to collaborate with clients to build programmes that ensure their long-term success.”
