Ryan Planski’s career is marked by significant contributions to renowned hotel brands and an exceptional ability to drive commercial success. Most recently, he served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Renaissance New York Chelsea, a role he was promoted to in 2023. Under his leadership, the hotel surpassed budget targets and saw strong growth across key market segments, earning him Stonebridge’s Leader of the Quarter award for Q4 2024. Previously, Ryan played a key role in opening the property in 2019 as Senior Sales Manager. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the success of Marriott’s Autograph Collection hotels under The Kessler Collection in Orlando, where he consistently outperformed post-pandemic budget goals as Senior Catering Sales Manager.

“It’s an honor to join The Chatwal, New York, a hotel I’ve long admired for its dedication to unparalleled guest experiences,” said Ryan Planski. “I’m incredibly excited to work alongside the ‘Chatwal Champions’ to drive impactful strategies, navigate meaningful partnerships within the local community, and ensure our continued leadership in the luxury market.”

Conveniently located on 44th Street, The Chatwal, New York is steps from premier entertainment, dining, shopping, Broadway theaters and major media and financial hubs. Originally built in 1905 by Stanford White, the landmark structure was masterfully restored by architect Thierry Despont, and relaunched in 2010. The hotel features 76 exquisitely designed rooms, including 28 luxury suites and 14 themed accommodations with expansive designer terraces. Guests enjoy bespoke amenities including a team of professional Butlers, in-room dining and distinct private bars, as well as access to the historic The Lambs Club, an elegant restaurant serving new American cuisine.

In addition to his practical experience, Ryan Planski holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Greenville College and a master’s degree in musical arts from the University of South Florida. His extensive background in strategic planning, business development, and customer relationship management will be invaluable as he steps into his new role at The Chatwal, New York.
