Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) has promoted two senior executives to vice president roles as the hotel network strengthens its focus on technology and customer engagement.
Steve Ayalo has been promoted to vice president of IT governance, risk and compliance, while Matthew Lloyd becomes vice president of marketing technology and customer relationship management (CRM).
Ayalo joined GHA in 2015, and has been “instrumental” in building GHA’s cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, leading the establishment of the cybersecurity operations center, threat intelligence services, and scalable IT. His expertise also spans data privacy, compliance, and cloud security.
In his new role he will cover ISO certification, information security risk management and regulatory compliance across the business.
Lloyd joined GHA in 2018 following roles at Hilton and Southwest Airlines. He has since led the group’s CRM initiatives, introduced a customer data platform and overseen digital marketing projects. In his expanded position, he will shape departmental culture, promote cross-functional collaboration and mentor new talent within the marketing team.
Chris Hartley, chief executive of GHA, said: “These appointments reflect the highly skilled team we have at GHA and our continued investment in strengthening our technology and loyalty marketing leadership. Both Matt and Steve have consistently demonstrated vision, expertise and leadership that are critical to our success as we scale and innovate.”
