This July, MGallery Collection invites travelers to step into a world where time slows. Introducing L’Isle de Leos Hotel & Spa – MGallery Collection, a boutique retreat nestled in the heart of the idyllic provincial village, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France. With 49 exquisitely designed rooms, including 11 suites, L’Isle de Leos is a haven of understated luxury, where walls whisper stories through intricate sculptures, and gastronomy takes guests on a refined Provençal journey. Framed by the rolling landscapes of the Luberon, Mont Ventoux, and the Alpilles, and the gentle flow of the Sorgue River, this intimate escape invites guests to embrace the art of slow living.

A Tapestry of Art and Design

Stepping into L’Isle de Leos Hotel & Spa – MGallery Collection is to enter a gallery where art and history entwine. The hotel’s rooms and suites celebrate local craftsmanship, from frescoes that dance in the light to sculptural installations that pay homage to the region’s heritage. At the heart of the hotel is a slowly rotating sculptural wheel crafted by artisans that mirrors the iconic water wheel of the village’s historic mills—an ode to time, movement, and reflection.

Designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel the interior designer behind the hotel’s décor, an eight-metre-long artwork composed of terracotta roof tiles echoes the warmth of the rooftops. Outside, a mirror-like pool and secluded terraces provide moments of quiet contemplation, where the river’s gentle whispers invite a pause.

A Riverside Gem

L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a peaceful waterside village perched in the heart of the French countryside. This enchanting destination is famous for its stone-built charm, historic churches and vineyards. The location’s beauty has created a sanctuary for art lovers and artists, drawing in Frédéric Mistral, René Char, Picasso, and Miró – to name a few. Guests can meander through the cobblestone streets, explore the vibrant antique markets, riverside cafes and culinary heritage or simply bask in the symphony of nature for a refined, authentic taste of provincial life.

Artistry merged into every luxury suite

Each of the 49 guest rooms are beautifully decorated with furniture and antique finds that have been carefully considered to fully illuminate Provence’s rich history. The 11 suites offer a personalised touch, ensuring a captivating experience for the curious and epicureans, providing an intimate portrait of Provence’s artistic and literary soul. Antique furnishings, hand-selected pieces, and poetic details immerse guests in an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The Capital Alexandre Suites pays tribute to René Char, the iconic poet of Provence, featuring rare photographs, objects and quotes from his allies, including Picasso and Eluard. The Raphaël Thierry Suites is filled with framed original sketches, sculpture models and paintings, immersing guests into the local artist’s creative world.

A taste of Provence

In a region famed for its culinary tastes, the L’Isle de Leos Hotel & Spa – MGallery Collection houses a bar and a restaurant. At La Roue, the hotel’s signature restaurant led by Chef Yon Masurel, flavours take centre stage in a bistronomic symphony that celebrates the finest ingredients from Domaine de Leos. Signature creations such as The Isle’s Gourmet Wheel reimagine local heritage – a delicate madeleine infused with lavender, a savoury shortbread kissed with olive tapenade and citrus zest.Meanwhile, Le Nego Chin, the hotel’s cozy lobby bar, is a tribute to the craft of mixology. Each sip is a discovery, with the signature cocktails capturing the very essence of Provence. These include the 600M cocktail, infused with hand-harvested lavender honey at an altitude of 600 metres, and the Olea, a martini with a blend of estate-grown herbs.

Holistic Wellness Rooted in Nature

At the hotel’s L’Olivier de Leos Spa, wellbeing unfolds as an intimate ritual, guided by the philosophy of oléothérapie — harnessing the regenerative power of olives, leaves, and wood. The Olive Tree Signature Massage mirrors the natural sap flow of the olive tree, with each movement designed to revitalise the body and nurture deep relaxation. Wrapped in the soothing symphony of the Domaine de Leos, guests are invited to reconnect with themselves in harmony with nature.

A Sanctuary Designed for Concentration

Thoughtfully designed to nurture creativity and inspiration, this property is an ideal setting for discerning business travellers seeking a serene work environment. It features two fully equipped, state-of-the-art meeting rooms perfectly suited for executive gatherings, seminars and team-building events, accommodating up to 60 guests in comfort and style.

The M Moment

At each MGallery hotel, the M Moment offers a unique experience for guests, woven into the soul of its surroundings. At L’Isle de Leos, guests are invited to embrace the gold of Provence, an exclusive journey through the seasons at the Domaine de Leos:

  • Spring: Forage wild thyme and craft artisanal jams before enjoying a sun-dappled breakfast beneath century-old oak trees
  • Summer: Participate in the grape harvest, unlocking the secrets of winemaking over an intimate tasting of Domaine vintages.
  • Autumn: Immerse in the tradition of olive harvesting, followed by a meal infused with the rich flavours of the land.
  • Winter: Embark on a truffle hunt, unearthing one of Provence’s most coveted treasures before indulging in a gourmet feast.

Committed to Her

In keeping with MGallery’s dedication to women’s empowerment, L’Isle de Leos proudly supports the Pink October Campaign in partnership with L’Olivier de Leos, the famed natural skincare brand rooted in rich French heritage.
