Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta) today announced the opening of Sonesta Hotel Miraflores in Lima, Peru with Master Franchisor GHL Hoteles. The 133-room upscale hotel is located within walking distance of Kennedy Park, Iglesia Matriz Virgen Milagrosa, Love Park and Lima’s main shopping district.
The hotel features many of the new brand elements introduced this year, including the Tapestry of Self Portrait, an installation created by various artists to capture the unique spirit of each of the hotels in the Sonesta Hotels, Resorts & Cruises brand. Like the threads of a tapestry, these portraits intricately weave together historical references and captivating details about each hotel’s heritage and surroundings, forming a visual mosaic that brings the soul of a community to life.
Sonesta Hotel Miraflores will be operated by GHL Hoteles, a leading multi-brand hotel management company in Latin America, with over 60 years of experience. Earlier this year, Sonesta renewed its long-standing Master Franchise Agreement with the company through 2034, covering the development and franchising of most of Sonesta’s brands in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Argentina. The partnership includes the Sonesta Hotel El Olivar, Sonesta´s first property in Lima.
