
Davidson Hospitality Group has appointed Steve Contos as executive vice president, managing director – luxury & international, a newly created role to strengthen its presence in the luxury segment and advance growth in international markets.
Most recently, Contos served as executive vice president of operations for Davidson Hotels and Davidson Resorts, where he joined at the inception of the resort vertical launch. Quickly thereafter, he assumed responsibility for the hotels division, dedicated to managing heritage brand assets.
“As Davidson continues to strategically and thoughtfully expand our footprint, Steve’s leadership will be central to shaping how we define and deliver luxury hospitality and how we position ourselves internationally,” said Davidson Hospitality Group chief operating officer Jason Reader. “His perspective and expertise will help us identify opportunities, refine our approach, and drive meaningful growth.”
Prior to joining Davidson, Contos served as a senior vice president at Marriott International, overseeing all hotels and resorts in the Caribbean and the luxury resort portfolio in Latin America. During his tenure, he was responsible for 78 hotels and resorts across 12 brands. Previously, he was the area vice president of the Americas Southern and Eastern regions, focused on a premium portfolio of hotels in Florida and Louisiana. He has held a myriad of positions within the hospitality industry, serving as general manager at six different properties and as the vice president, managing director at the renowned Orlando Grande Lakes Resort complex featuring a 1,000-room JW Marriott and a 564-room Ritz Carlton.
