Meliá Desert Palm, a serene wellness resort set on the lush grounds of a 64-hectare private polo estate, has unveiled its newest hospitality concept — six exclusive one-bedroom Al Waha Villas, each designed as a sanctuary of mindfulness, relaxation, and personalised luxury.

Just twenty minutes from Downtown Dubai, yet a world apart, this serene oasis offers a refined retreat where the pace slows, and the senses find calm. Rooted in the heritage of a private polo estate, the experience blends understated Arabian elegance with subtle Spanish accents, evoking a quiet sense of place and purpose.

Drawing from the Arabic word “Waha”, meaning oasis, each 189 sqm villa has been conceived as a sanctuary of stillness. Thoughtfully designed, each space offers a one-bedroom suite along with indoor and alfresco dining areas that flow with ease. The living spaces open onto a private courtyard with a generous pool offering an intimate haven for quiet reflection, connection, and renewal.

Throughout the villa, botanical scents drift gently through the air, grounding the spirit and encouraging emotional clarity. Textures have been chosen with care – plush fabrics, fine linens, and natural materials – each selected to comfort the body and invite touch. Together, these elements form an atmosphere of understated luxury, where every detail serves a single purpose: to bring the guest back to a place of ease.

To nourish well-being from within, each stay includes a variety of complimentary experiences that are included as part of the rate. Guests can enjoy the nourishing Superfood Afternoon Tea composed to boost well-being and revitalise the gut and composed with seasonal, nutrient-rich ingredients, served from the privacy of your own space.

As night falls, guests are invited to unwind with The Sleeping Ritual restorative experience, designed to gently ease the body and quiet the mind. The ritual begins with a curated sleep kit featuring a weighted blanket, bespoke pillow menu, ambient soundscape, and a 30-minute guided meditation. Sensory touches include a lavender-infused pillow mist, earplugs, and soothing Arabic poetry. A thoughtful turn-down service with moon milk completes the ritual, helping guests drift into deep, restful sleep.

In harmony with the evening ritual is The Ritual of the Water a private bathing ceremony inspired by ancient traditions of purification. Centred on the quiet, healing power of water, the experience is an invitation to slow down, return inward, and simply be. Guests may choose from three deeply considered journeys: Arabian Detox, with Dead Sea salt and eucalyptus to cleanse and ground; Moonlit Serenity, a gentle blend of chamomile to still the mind; or Floral Bliss, where hibiscus, almond oil, and Damask rose uplift and soften the spirit. Each offering is a moment of stillness – unhurried, intuitive, and entirely one’s own.

Each stay at the Al Waha Collection Villa includes a bespoke wellness experience, featuring a private meditation or sound healing session thoughtfully tailored to the guest’s needs. Whether practiced at sunrise on a shaded terrace or during the golden hush of dusk, these sessions offer a moment of deep reconnection.

Curated touches further enrich the stay, including aromatherapy kits, wellness amenities such as yoga mats and mindfulness tools, customizable lighting and music settings, health-conscious gourmet mini-bars, and personalised welcome rituals that gently ease guests into a state of relaxation and presence.

The unveiling of the new Al Waha Villas – an extension of the original three-bedroom sanctuary – deepens the resort’s commitment to holistic wellbeing. Designed for those who seek space, stillness, and a more conscious connection during their stay, this tranquil enclave offers a gentle retreat from the outside world.
