Lake District Hotels has announced a strategic reshuffle within its senior leadership team creating an opening for the GM position at its flagship Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa.
Following a series of internal promotions, Marcell Cilliers has been appointed group operations manager.
Cilliers first joined the group at Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa as deputy general manager in autumn 2020 and shortly thereafter was promoted to GM.
As part of this repositioning, the group is now seeking a new GM to lead the Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa, which employs over 100 dedicated team members. Applications close on 29 October 2025.
Cilliers said:“It’s been an incredible journey at Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa, and I’m honoured to be taking on this new challenge with the wider group. Our aim is to continue refining our operations and guest offering while supporting future growth for Lake District Hotels.”
Lodore Falls has undergone substantial investment over the past eight years. Meanwhile, Mizu Pan Asian Restaurant, one of two restaurants located within the hotel, was awarded Best Restaurant in England at the prestigious Golden Chopsticks Awards.
