Ennismore has announced plans to open its first lifestyle all-inclusive resort in the Middle East next year, with the launch of SO/ Ras Al Khaimah on Al Marjan Island in November 2025.
The 257-room property will mark the SO/ brand’s first all-inclusive resort outside Europe and Ennismore’s debut in Ras Al Khaimah. It forms part of a series of new luxury developments planned for the island, which is emerging as one of the United Arab Emirates’ key tourism hubs.
The resort will feature five restaurants developed by Ennismore’s global food and beverage team, including Italian, Levantine and Pan-Asian dining concepts, alongside a high-end cocktail bar, two pool bars and a beach club. It will also include a spa, gym and event facilities for up to 345 guests.
Located at the entrance to Al Marjan Island, the site offers views of the Arabian Sea and aims to blend contemporary design with local influences. Interior finishes will draw on desert and ocean tones, with natural materials such as walnut and sandstone used throughout.
Ras Al Khaimah is seeking to grow its position as a luxury destination, supported by record visitor numbers. According to the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, the emirate recorded 1.28 million overnight visitors in 2024, a 12% increase on the previous year, and is targeting 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030.
Cenk Unverdi, chief operating officer for Rixos and the All-Inclusive Collection in the GCC, Central Asia and Europe, said: “Ras Al Khaimah is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing luxury destinations in the region, making it the perfect location to debut the first SO/ all-inclusive resort in the Middle East. Building on the success of Rixos through the All-Inclusive Collection, we’re delighted to welcome the first lifestyle all-inclusive resort to the emirate.”
The resort joins Ennismore’s All-Inclusive Collection, which also includes Rixos, Hyde, SLS and Swissôtel properties. The platform focuses on what the company describes as “immersive luxury experiences” combining design, gastronomy and entertainment within an all-inclusive format.
Ennismore said the signing of SO/ Ras Al Khaimah supports its plan to strengthen its presence in the lifestyle all-inclusive market. The group now has more than 60 resorts open or in development worldwide, representing over 25,000 rooms.
Founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Sharan Pasricha, Ennismore entered a joint venture with Accor in 2021 and operates a portfolio of 16 hospitality brands across more than 40 countries.
