The Tess, Peregrine Hospitality’s recently opened boutique hotel in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, has announced the appointment of Nils Bergmann as its new general manager.

Bergmann brings over 20 years of leadership experience across various lifestyle and luxury brands in the hospitality industry, including key roles with W Hotels, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, AC Marriott and Hilton’s Curio Collection. Most recently, he served as general manager of The Charter Hotel Seattle, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.

“The Tess brings a new level of refined hospitality to Buckhead,” said Greg Kennealey, CEO of Peregrine Hospitality. “With Nils at the helm, we’re confident the property will not only deliver exceptional service but also establish itself as a cultural touchpoint for the community and a distinctive destination for travelers.”

Located in the heart of Buckhead and now part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the 201-room hotel has been reimagined to deliver the art of Southern hospitality with a modern twist and capture the spirit of its namesake and created persona, ‘Tess’.

“The Tess has already brought a fresh new energy to Buckhead since opening earlier this month,” said Bergmann. “My focus is to build on that momentum, ensuring everything we do sparks curiosity, fosters authentic connection, and reflects Tess’ modern take on Southern hospitality.”
