US-based hotel operator Davidson Hospitality Group has expanded into Europe with the addition of Ragdale Hall Spa in Leicestershire to its Davidson Resorts management portfolio.
Set on 13 acres in the Leicestershire countryside, Ragdale Hall Spa features 93 rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, 11,400 sq ft of spa facilities, six indoor pools, three fitness studios, two tennis courts and three retail outlets.
Ragdale Hall Spa operates as an adults-only destination dedicated to wellness, offering a range of spa and fitness facilities, healthy dining and relaxation experiences.
The spa was recently named Best Spa for Wellness for 2025 at the Good Spa Guide Awards.
The company said it plans to expand further in Europe, focusing on upper-upscale and luxury hotels, following a similar growth model to its operations in the United States.
Davidson Hospitality Group manages 84 hotels and resorts, more than 220 restaurants, bars and lounges, and 1.5 million sq ft of meeting space across the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.
The group operates under four specialist divisions: Davidson Hotels, Pivot, Davidson Resorts and Davidson Restaurant Group.
Thom Geshay, chief executive and president of Davidson Hospitality Group, said: “We are delighted to make our international foray as stewards for this iconic and world-class destination wellness retreat.
“Our UK-based team has been studying markets abroad and recognised a need for institutional management by operators like Davidson. We look forward to supporting the team and continuing Ragdale Hall’s tradition of curated wellness experiences.”
