Small Luxury Hotels of the World added 38 properties in the third quarter of 2025, bringing its total new signings for the year to 87. The company now has more than 650 hotels across over 90 countries.
The additions reflect growth across regions and categories including nature retreats, city properties and high-altitude hotels. New signings range from private island stays in Norway to historic hotels in European city centers and countryside estates.
In Dominica, Sanctuary Rainforest Resort and Spa is set to open in August 2026 with 72 rooms in a rainforest setting near waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. Palacio de Tavira in Portugal opened in August 2025 in a former 19th century residence with 36 rooms in Tavira’s old town.
In Vietnam, Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat joined the portfolio in a forested valley in Trang An within a UNESCO World Heritage area in Ninh Binh. The property joins the brand’s Considerate Collection, with practices linked to local culture and environment.
Bangkok added Siri Sala Private Thai Villa, a private canal villa made up of three traditional stilt houses. Hotel De Orangerie returned to the collection in Bruges in a former monastery with canal views. The Burman Hotel in Tallinn reopened in spring 2025 with 17 rooms after refurbishment. Smaller historic town hotels include The Feathers Hotel in Woodstock in the United Kingdom, Santa Boka in Perast in Montenegro and Palazzo Artemide in Ortiga in Sicily.
Other city properties added include Hotel Les Armures in Geneva, Hotel Komana in Istanbul, Hotel Belleclaire in New York City and The Grayson Miami in Miami.
Mountain and high-altitude additions include Hotel Saltus in the Dolomites with wellness facilities and views of the South Tyrolean landscape. Hotel Villa Honegg in Switzerland added 25 rooms overlooking Lake Lucerne. Via Regia Cappadocia in Turkey features natural stone rooms and terraces above the region’s rock formations. In Sri Lanka, Taru Villas Levita sits in the Central Highlands near Kandy. Zi Yun Xuan Qing Resort and Spa in southeast China offers access to trails, tea terraces and temples.
In wine regions, Leeu House in Franschhoek in South Africa joined the portfolio, along with Le Quartier Français in the same village. Le Marne Relais opened in Piedmont in Italy with access to vineyards. Longting Vineyard Hotel in China added hotel and winery facilities. Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena in Spain sits in a former monastery and Il Boscareto Resort and Spa joined in the Langhe region of Italy.
Golf additions include Dunluce Lodge in Ireland near Royal Portrush and Seaton House in Scotland near the Old Course in St Andrews.
Nature-focused additions include Lilløy Lindenberg on a private island in Norway, Pine Trees Hotel near Cairngorms National Park in Scotland and Parkhotel Egerner Hoefe in Bavaria. A Mandria di Murtoli in Corsica added countryside lodging. Inn at Rancho Santa Fe in California joined with a property in rolling hills. REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort in Bali added a wellness site and Five Spring Resort The Shirahama in Japan added ocean views and a hot spring pool.
Small Luxury Hotels of the World now continues its expansion with properties across diverse locations including island retreats, vineyard regions and urban centers as it builds its portfolio through 2025.
