Elysian Real Estate Group is thrilled to announce bohème, an eclectic yet luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of East Austin, opening in summer 2026. The boutique hotel will be located at 400 Comal St. and pay homage to Austin’s dynamic soul and heritage. Offering 20 uniquely designed rooms, bohème will provide guests with a personalized window into different aspects of the city’s culture and history, telling a story at every corner.

Originally a sustainable apartment building, bohème has been reimagined in partnership with Baldridge Architects to bring Molinare’s vision to life. Guided by Molinare’s creative direction, Baldridge helped transform the concept into a fully realized experience, delivering the architectural precision and thoughtful details that shape each space. Every room has been individually designed and carefully curated to create an enduring sense of place, resulting in an environment that feels intentional, textured and deeply connected to the East Austin neighborhood.

Beyond the Room: The Art of Cross-Selling in Hospitality

Composed of 14 standard rooms and six signature suites, bohème offers stays that serve as personalized windows into different aspects of the city’s culture. Each signature suite is uniquely designed:

  • The Outlaw: A moody, seductive hideaway for the bold and untamed. Dark tones, rich textures and sultry lighting set the stage for an experience that’s both rugged and luxurious, creating a space made for those who live fiercely and unapologetically.
  • The Start-Up: A sleek, modern suite where innovation meets relaxation. Designed for Austin’s next great entrepreneur, it blends refined comfort with tech-forward design — equally fit for closing deals or unwinding in style.
  • The Den: A warm, lived-in sanctuary inspired by Austin’s legendary music scene green rooms. With vintage textures, amber lighting and soulful character, it feels like the green room of dreams, making a cozy retreat for artists and storytellers.
  • From Dusk Till Dawn: A cinematic, offbeat escape that pays homage to Austin’s film legacy. Eclectic and unpredictable, this suite celebrates creative chaos with bold color, retro touches and a touch of weird, just like the stories that define it.
  • The Pearl: A wild, electric celebration of Austin’s bohemian heart. Inspired by Janis Joplin’s untamed spirit, it’s vibrant, rebellious and full of soul — a kaleidoscope of color, texture and creative freedom.
  • The Muse: A serene, luxurious retreat that blends timeless elegance with organic calm. Soft tones, rich materials and ambient lighting create a peaceful, pampering space for those who seek beauty in simplicity and indulgence in stillness.

In addition to guest rooms, the boutique hotel will feature a rooftop bar, a lobby bar and a grocer on the first floor, along with additional food offerings by Nova Hospitality. Additional information about these concepts will be announced at a later date.
