Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, together with international award-winning developer JTRE, celebrated the groundbreaking of Kempinski Grace Bay – an exclusive hotel & residential project featuring an intimate collection of private apartments and beachfront villas along the world’s most beautiful beach in Turks and Caicos.
The late-afternoon ceremony took place against the backdrop of Grace Bay’s turquoise waters and white-sand shore. In attendance were The Honourable Charles Washington Misick, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands; Her Excellency Anya Williams, Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands other senior government officials, and project partners from around the world. Together, they marked the beginning of a new era for the Turks and Caicos Islands, one that unites European elegance with the effortless rhythm and natural beauty of Caribbean life.
Sitting gracefully across 11 acres of secluded and unspoiled shoreline, the development brings Kempinski’s 128-year legacy of European hospitality to the Turks and Caicos Islands for the first time. Developed by JTRE, the project redefines coastal living through understated architecture, attention to detail and deep respect for the natural surroundings.
The property’s low-density design features 119 private residences and four oceanfront villas, all oriented toward panoramic sea views. Interiors draw inspiration from the island’s serene palette, including limestone, timber, and glass, which create a seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor living.
Residents and guests will enjoy an array of signature amenities, including fine dining venues, a beach club, a 3,000 square foot wine cellar, a European spa, an ocean view fitness area, along with a sports pavilion featuring tennis and padel courts and a children’s club. Sustainability is woven into every detail, from insulated glass and solar systems to native landscaping nourished by recycled water.
A Partnership Rooted in Vision
Attending the groundbreaking was Christophe Piffaretti, Chief Development Officer, Kempinski Hotels who was instrumental in solidifying the partnership and enabling this landmark moment in Kempinski’s development pipeline.
This groundbreaking builds upon the successful partnership between Kempinski Hotels and JTRE, whose international portfolio includes acclaimed and award-winning developments across London, Slovakia, and Germany.
