
Rosen College is expanding its leadership in hospitality analytics and technology through the appointment of Associate Professor Mehmet Altin as the HFTP Professor of Hospitality Financial Management and Technology. The professorship strengthens Rosen College’s growing focus on data, innovation, and the future of decision-making in a global industry that is rapidly evolving.
Altin has spent the past decade shaping how Rosen College students understand performance analytics, revenue management, business intelligence, and entrepreneurship. His work bridges research and practice, using quantitative and mixed-methods approaches to study how hospitality organizations make strategic decisions and how data influences performance. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 scholarly publications, with his research appearing in the leading journals in hospitality and tourism.

The professorship is supported by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), an international organization recognized for advancing the finance and technology segments of the hospitality industry. HFTP’s relationship with Rosen College dates back to the mid-2000s with the establishment of the original endowed professorship held by Stephen LeBruto, an HFTP Paragon Award recipient.
