Hotel operator the Amano Group expects its portfolio to grow from 1,500 rooms to more than 3,000 over the next three years as it pushes ahead with an expansion programme across key European cities.
The company plans to open eight additional hotels by 2028 in both existing and new core markets, including Leipzig, Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and London. Several projects are already under construction or in planning.
The group said the investment aligns with its strategy of strengthening its presence in densely visited urban destinations. It aims to broaden its footprint in major European cities and embed the brand more deeply in local cultural and social life.
Amano’s hotel model combines central locations with design-led interiors, with restaurants, bars and social spaces positioned as part of the wider city environment.
The expansion includes a 274-room hotel in Leipzig due to open in early 2027 and three new sites in Hamburg totalling 512 rooms. In Munich, a 277-room hotel is scheduled to open at Stachus in autumn 2026. In Berlin, two projects in City West and at Oberbaum Bridge will add a further 320 rooms. The company also plans a second London site, with 70 rooms in Covent Garden.
Managing director Ariel Schiff said: “With our current growth of more than 1,500 rooms, we are setting a new, clear signal: we believe in urban hotel concepts that are more than standard — and we believe in the metropolises in which we invest. Leipzig, Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and London are key locations for us.
“We are excited to further establish our brand there while combining style, locality and hospitality at a high level.”
