Selman Marrakech has announced the appointment of Adam Holger Frehde as its new general manager, bringing more than two decades of experience with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to the luxury property.
Frehde joins the hotel after a 21-year career with Four Seasons, where he held several senior commercial and marketing roles across North Africa. His positions included director of commercial operations in Marrakech and regional director of commercial operations, alongside regional director of marketing.
In that capacity, he oversaw marketing and commercial activity for the Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca and the Four Seasons Hotel Tunis, and was involved in the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Rabat – Kasr Al Bahr.
The appointment comes as Selman Marrakech looks to its next phase of development, with the owners citing Frehde’s international experience and operational background as key to the decision.
Frehde said: “Becoming General Manager of Selman Marrakech fills me with profound joy and immense gratitude. This hotel has an extraordinary soul, and I am honoured to help elevate its legacy while creating unforgettable experiences for each of our guests.”
Opened in 2012, Selman Marrakech is owned by the Bennani-Smires family and was designed by French architect and interior designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Marrakech, near the Atlas Mountains, and draws on Arab-Andalusian architectural influences.
