This December, Marylebone’s cult-favourite neighbourhood bakery and brunch spot, Boxcar Bread & Wine, joins forces with KOMA — the premium Japanese matcha brand from Kyoto — for an exclusive festive collaboration celebrating the artistry and flavour of authentic matcha.

The partnership introduces two limited-edition matcha creations to Boxcar Bread & Wine, each crafted using 100% organic matcha sourced from Uji, Kyoto — a region renowned for more than 270 years of tea-growing heritage.

Available throughout December, the special menu captures the spirit of the season with a refined Japanese twist, offering a luxurious way to enjoy matcha’s earthy richness and delicate umami.

Guests can indulge in the KOMA Yuki: a velvety warm blend of KOMA’s signature matcha, creamy white chocolate and aromatic nutmeg, crowned with a handcrafted meringue stick for a festive flourish.

For a lighter, iced alternative, the Matcha Dream pairs matcha with jasmine tea infusion, rose water, lemon juice and soda, finished with dried rose petals and lemon balm for a bright, floral lift.

Both drinks can be personalised with indulgent add-ons — an extra shot of matcha or Irish cream liqueur for the KOMA Yuki, or a splash of gin for the Matcha Dream.

To complete the collaboration, Boxcar Bread & Wine will transform into a haven for matcha enthusiasts this festive season, offering an exclusive range of beautifully curated Christmas gifts. Elegant KOMA matcha sets and traditional whisks will be available in-store, each wrapped in authentic Japanese-style festive packaging — the perfect way to share a little Kyoto magic with loved ones this Christmas.

Available from 1–31 December at Boxcar Bread & Wine.
