US: Boutique hotel developer RMS Companies has unveiled plans for a new boutique hotel in Port Chester, New York, as part of a wider mixed-use redevelopment of the former United Hospital site.
The proposed hotel will form part of a large-scale scheme that includes residential, retail and public realm elements. The development, led by RMS subsidiary Boston Post Road Owner LLC, will feature a 120-room hotel alongside 775 residential apartments, 90 independent living units and 110 assisted living apartments.
The project aims to support the town’s regeneration and address a lack of quality accommodation in the area. The hotel is expected to cater to both leisure and business travellers, while supporting wider economic activity through tourism and local spending.
RMS Companies said the scheme will help revitalise the area, creating a mixed-use destination that combines hospitality, housing and community space. The development has received backing through a series of incentives approved by the Port Chester Industrial Development Agency, including tax abatements designed to support long-term investment.
