Glion Institute of Higher Education has announced the appointment of Philippe Vignon as its new general Director, effective June 16, 2025. This strategic move comes as the Swiss institution, seeks to advance its international development and reinforce its positioning as a global academic brand.
With more than three decades of executive experience across sectors including tourism, aviation, digital media, and education, Philippe Vignon brings a blend of strategic leadership and cross-industry insight. His professional track record includes transformative roles at Geneva Tourism, Edipresse Digital, EasyJet, and L’Oréal Suisse, where he consistently delivered growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
In his new role, Vignon will oversee Glion’s campuses in Switzerland and the UK, foster strategic partnerships with hospitality, tourism, and luxury sector leaders, and support the institution’s innovation agenda. His appointment is aligned with Glion’s ambition to enhance its global footprint, expand into new markets, and respond to the increasing demand for high-level hospitality education worldwide.

Beyond his executive background, Vignon is actively engaged in governance and advisory roles. He serves as an advisor to Vision 2030’s Doyof Al Rahman program in Saudi Arabia, as well as to sustainable travel and aviation start-ups. He is also a board member at Hôtel des Horlogers, a pioneering eco-luxury property developed by Audemars Piguet.
