Dubai – Team members from Premier Inn Middle East, in collaboration with Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR), participated in the 18th Emirates Physical Fitness Championship for People of Determination organised by the Emirates Autism Center. As part of the initiative, they distributed 500 lunch boxes to children with autism at a special fitness event at Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi on 24 April.
Held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, the 18th Emirates Physical Fitness Championship for People of Determination supports the global Autism Awareness Campaign, increasing the public’s awareness and enhancing the quality of life for individuals on the spectrum. The event also serves as a testament to the UAE’s ongoing commitment to providing inclusive opportunities for all members of society.
Children of Determination from across the UAE participated in a variety of sports and fitness activities aimed to promote physical activity, inclusion, and community engagement. To help keep their energy up and spirits high, team members from Premier Inn’s hotels in Abu Dhabi and their ELR colleagues cheerfully handed out healthy lunch boxes filled with baked goods, fresh fruit, and juice.
We are proud to support the Emirates Autism Center and be part of such a meaningful event. It was an honour for our team members to share this special day with the children and their families. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to being a Force For Good – making a positive and lasting difference in the communities we serve. Simon Leigh, Managing Director of Premier Inn Middle East
