Drury Hotels has started construction on its first property in Nebraska. The new Drury Plaza Hotel Lincoln Downtown is being built at 920 Q Street, in the heart of downtown Lincoln. The site is near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and less than a 10-minute drive from Lincoln Airport.
The 210-room hotel is expected to open in February 2026. It will include over 2,400 square feet of meeting space, designed to support small and midsize events. The meeting space will be able to accommodate up to 288 people and will be supported by Drury’s Meetings with More program, which includes internet access for attendees, no required minimums for food and beverage, and a cancellation policy that allows a portion of the fee to be applied to future events at other Drury properties.

The building will feature a guest market in the lobby, business and fitness centers, and a Kitchen + Bar area offering small plates and beverages in the evening. There will also be an indoor pool and spa. Free Wi-Fi will be available throughout the property. Rooms will be available for booking starting February 2026.
The property will be the first Drury-branded hotel in Nebraska, expanding the company’s reach to 28 states. Drury currently operates more than 150 hotels across the U.S. This expansion is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enter new regional markets.
Drury Hotels also confirmed it will begin hiring efforts for the Lincoln location as construction progresses. When the hotel opens, the company expects to employ about 55 full-time and part-time team members across departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food service, and management.
The company, based in St. Louis, has focused its development in recent years on downtown cores and university-adjacent locations in midsize cities. With the Lincoln project, Drury will join several other national brands expanding near the University of Nebraska and the city’s downtown business corridor.
Construction work is underway and will continue through 2025, with the hotel scheduled to open to guests in early 2026.
