Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa in Sicily. The 102-room property is located near Siracusa, a UNESCO World Heritage city, and is the second Dolce hotel to open in Italy.

Originally a Roman villa, then a 9th-century monastery and later a Sicilian masseria, the compound has been restored to serve as a four-star hotel. It includes 83 guest rooms, 14 junior suites and five king suites. Among the amenities are an 18-hole, par-71 golf course within a plantation of oranges and lemons, a fitness center and the Monasteri Spa, which features two indoor and outdoor pools, a steam room, sauna and hydromassage tub.

The signature restaurant, Le Ceramiche, is led by Sicilian chef Mirko Previtera, who trained at The Fat Duck in the UK and Les Prés d’Eugénie in France. The restaurant serves seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean dishes.

“Dolce by Wyndham is more than a hotel brand – its DNA is rooted in beauty, culture and connection and there’s no better place for it to thrive than Italy, the home of its namesake and spirit. Sicily’s timeless charm makes it the perfect setting for travellers seeking authenticity and a true sense of place. As demand grows across the world for meaningful, experience-led travel, Dolce continues to resonate, offering owners a compelling lifestyle brand with strong commercial potential. It’s part of the Wyndham Advantage: scale, support, and a brand that stands out in the evolving world of meaningful travel,” said Dimitris Manikis, president EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

“In Italy, we say ‘Dove c’è il cuore, lì è casa’ – ‘Where the heart is, there is home.’ With Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa, we’ve created more than a resort, we’ve created a place where the spirit of Sicily lives in every detail. It’s about feeling, flavour, and freedom, and we’re proud to welcome guests to experience a truly unforgettable taste of Italian life. Wyndham shares our passion for hospitality and brings the iconic, global Dolce brand, making them the ideal partner to continue growing our footprint within Italy,” said Alberto Reggidori, CEO, All In Italia Hotels & Resorts.

The property includes two meeting rooms and a ballroom with panoramic views of the grounds and golf course. It is near beaches, food markets and historic sites including the Neapolis Archeological Park and the Cathedral of Siracusa.

Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa expands Wyndham’s presence in Italy to seven hotels across five brands: Dolce, Wyndham Garden, Ramada, Trademark Collection and Registry Collection. It is part of a previously announced development agreement between Wyndham and All In Italia Hotels & Resorts to open up to 20 hotels in Italy over the next 10 years.
