Amanjunkies will soon have a new resort to check into. Aman has announed the spring 2026 opening of Amanvari, a new 18-key resort and collection of branded residences, on the East Cape of Baja California, Mexico. It will be Aman’s first property in Mexico.
With design by Heah & Co. and Elastic Architects, Amanvari continues Aman’s focus on merging nature and architecture. The resort sits at the intersection of three landscapes—beachfront, desert and estuary—and is designed to highlight its natural surroundings. Casitas at elevated positions offer views of the Sea of Cortéz, the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and the skies of the East Cape. Aman Residences will have elevated with sea views or overlooking the estate’s Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course.
Interiors use sand-hued materials that reflect the surrounding terrain. White concrete, natural stone and tropical hardwoods create the design framework, with framed views and open-air courtyards directing attention to the horizon and mountains. Bespoke ceramics and original artworks by Mexican artisans are included to ground the resort in local culture.
Amenities include dining venues ranging from Italian to Japanese, alongside the seasonal flavors of Baja. The Aman Spa will feature a modern temazcal, Aman’s signature Spa Houses, an open-air yoga pavilion and spaces for calm reflection.
Amanvari is part of Costa Palmas, a 1,500-acre private estate on the East Cape, with 18 acres of organic orchards and farms, three miles of swimmable beach, a yacht club and deep-water marina. Guests will have access to snorkeling, diving, hiking and sailing.
Residence ownership allows a private extension of the Aman lifestyle, with pools, generous courtyards and indoor-outdoor living. Private entrances and drop-offs enhance seclusion, while landscaping and panoramic views provide an immersive connection to the environment. A dedicated team offers personalized services and 24/7 support from the Aman Private Office, including adventure planning, in-residence dining, housekeeping and private chef and butler services.
Amanvari will become Aman’s sixth property in the Americas and Caribbean, joining a pipeline that includes Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach and Amancaya, Bahamas.
