Hilton has reached a milestone with the opening of its 9,000th hotel worldwide. It hit the mark with the debut of the 496-room Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa in Texas, which includes 34 boutique-style villas and an adults-only floor, with décor inspired by the Texas Hill Country.
“Much like we make a promise to our guests to deliver reliable and friendly stays, we are committed to being owners’ partner of choice,” said Christian Charnaux, EVP and CDO, Hilton. “Reaching this milestone of 9,000 hotels is a powerful testament to that commitment. Our brands consistently deliver industry-leading performance for our owners, which enables us to deploy our brands – both existing and new – into markets around the world every day. With just 5% of the existing share of global rooms and 21% of rooms under construction, Hilton has tremendous opportunity to further grow our portfolio well beyond 9,000 hotels.”
Hilton has also reported continued expansion across global markets. The company now operates more than 1,000 luxury and lifestyle hotels and has signed over 200 additional luxury and lifestyle properties this year alone. In the Asia Pacific region, Hilton has reached 1,000 trading properties, with similar milestones achieved across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company has announced plans to expand its presence tenfold in India, triple its portfolio in Africa, quadruple its portfolio in Saudi Arabia, and exceed 250 luxury and lifestyle hotels in the Asia Pacific region.
The U.S. remains a key market, with 6,000 hotels currently operating, alongside 200 in Canada, 500 in Florida and 100 in Italy. Overall, Hilton has more than 3,600 hotels under development globally, demonstrating continued strong demand from owners seeking brands that deliver premium commercial performance.
