MyMcDonald’s Rewards helps turn lunch into a hotel booking

Fast food giant, McDonald’s, has joined forces with Expediato launch a loyalty integration that brings travel rewards to the fast-food scene, marking the first time in the UK that MyMcDonald’s Rewards has partnered with a third party through its app.

From now until 20 January 2026*, MyMcDonald’s Rewards members can redeem points for hotel discounts on Expedia.co.uk, turning everyday purchases into real travel opportunities.

How it works:1

  • 2,500 points (about £25 spend) = 5% off your next Expedia booking on eligible hotels
  • 4,000 points (about £40 spend) = 9% off your next Expedia booking on eligible hotels

With one point earned for every penny spent, a typical order for a family of four, including burgers, fries and drinks, could earn enough points to unlock a 5% discount on a future trip. It’s a quick way to turn a McDonald’s meal into a trip.

“We’re thrilled to be launching our new partnership with Expedia for MyMcDonald’s Rewards, giving our customers even more of those rewarding moments that only McDonald’s can deliver,” a McDonald’s spokesperson said. “This campaign is all about celebrating the joy of everyday experiences — those little lifts that make a big difference — and we can’t wait to see how our fans respond.”

Clayton Nelson, Expedia Group VP Strategic Partnerships, added: “This partnership is about turning everyday moments into something extraordinary. Whether it’s a quick bite with friends or a family meal, customers can now turn their McDonald’s Rewards points into real travel savings on Expedia. It’s a simple, exciting way to make travel more accessible and rewarding.”

The partnership complements Expedia Group’s One Key loyalty programme, which gives members access to instant savings with Member Prices. Members can also save up to 25% when adding a hotel after booking a flight on Expedia.
