Radisson Hotel Group has signed the New Bath Hotel and Spa in Matlock, Derbyshire, which will join its Radisson Individuals portfolio in December 2025.
The 18th Century property, located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, will operate as a 54-room spa hotel. It features a spring-fed outdoor lido that opened in 1934, where water enters the pool at around 19.8°C from a geothermal spring.
Facilities include two restaurants – the Peak Brasserie and the Dining Room – along with a lounge, spa, and meeting spaces. The Ballroom can host up to 150 guests, while the Derwent Room accommodates up to 40. The hotel is dog-friendly and within walking distance of local attractions including the Peak District Mining Museum, Gulliver’s Kingdom, and the Heights of Abraham.
Radisson said the hotel’s location makes it suitable for leisure and corporate guests, with Derby around 30 minutes away by car, and Nottingham and Sheffield around an hour.
Adela Cristea, chief development officer for the UK, Ireland and Nordics at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “This is an exciting signing that displays our commitment to destination-driven hospitality celebrating history and natural beauty. The hotel is a stunning spa retreat located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, which offers a truly authentic guest experience.”
Rohan Mukul, director of New Bath Hotel and Spa, added: “Since its acquisition by Deventure Hotels and Resorts, this 250-year-old property has begun a thoughtful transformation to unlock its full potential. Joining the Radisson global network and partnering with Focus Hotels Management is a key step in this direction.”
