Since his appointment as General Manager of The St. Regis London, Marco Novella has been preparing for the grand debut of the landmark Mayfair hotel opening mid-2026. Blending London’s rich heritage with the spirit of modern luxury, the hotel is set to offer a new culturally engaging home away from home for both global travellers and discerning Londoners alike. Together with his team, Marco will infuse the world-renowned St. Regis experience with creative energy—fostering connections with art and fashion while redefining bespoke service excellence by integrating the signature butler service at the very heart of Mayfair.
Marco Novella brings more than two decades of leadership in luxury hospitality, having held senior roles at some of the world’s most iconic hotels. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Hotel Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel in Venice, part of the LVMH Group, from 2021 to 2024, where he led the property through a period of strategic growth and operational excellence. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of The Lanesborough in London from 2018 to 2021, overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s performance, service standards, and guest experience, further reinforcing its position among the city’s most prestigious destinations.
Commenting on his prestigious role, Marco Novella said: “For the last year, I have been honoured with the task of building the finest team at The St. Regis London to bring this iconic brand to life in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. The St. Regis experience is defined by its legacy of impeccable service and sophisticated style, and I look forward to creating a destination that captures the spirit of Mayfair while celebrating the timeless elegance for which the brand is renowned.”
Opening mid-2026, The St. Regis London will be Mayfair’s newest luxury destination, located at the corner of Conduit and New Bond Street. The hotel will offer 195 rooms, including 64 suites, and will reflect Mayfair’s tradition of craftsmanship and exclusivity through considered design, artisanal details, and timeless style. Surrounded by galleries and leading designer boutiques, it is set to become a natural meeting point for fashion, art, and society.
Dining at The St. Regis London will include a 90-seat signature restaurant, alongside the classic St. Regis late night jazz bar, an intimate Library, and a private dining room for up to 18 guests. The property’s character will draw on the rich heritage of St. Regis and the Astor family, most notably matriarch Caroline Astor, inspiring elements such as the signature Butler Service, Midnight Suppers, and curated social events. Wellness will also be central to the experience, with two spa suites featuring plunge pools, saunas, personalised treatments, and a fully equipped gym.
Designed by Richmond International, the project sees the complete redevelopment and transformation of the former Westbury Mayfair. The works include the addition of two new floors, an extension to the rear to create enhanced public areas, and an elegant renovation of the façade and main entrance.
