HIT Scotland has launched a series of executive and leadership development programmes to support senior professionals in the hospitality sector.

The announcement was made at Mar Hall near Glasgow, attended by more than 100 industry representatives.

The programmes are intended to provide training in areas including strategic leadership, artificial intelligence, cyber security, finance, marketing and operations.

Developed following research carried out by HIT Scotland in 2024, the initiative is designed to improve management capability and support long-term sector resilience.

The project is supported by the Crerar Trust and other industry partners. Delivery partners include The Culture Builders, Mighty Atoms, Owendale Advisory, The Cyber and Fraud Centre and Strathclyde Business School.

The new programmes complement HIT Scotland’s existing scholarship scheme, which supports more than 300 professionals each year.

Dave Allen, programme director, said: “The Executive and Leadership Programmes launching in 2026 will address key challenges facing the sector and prepare leaders for the opportunities ahead.”

David Cochrane, HIT Scotland chief executive, added: “These are hands-on learning experiences designed to create lasting change,” he said. “This is a strategic investment in the people who will lead the sector in future.”
