The St Regis London is set to open in mid-2026, marking the brand’s debut in the capital and the redevelopment of the former Westbury Mayfair.
The property, located at the corner of Conduit and New Bond Street, will feature 195 rooms, including 64 suites, and is being positioned as one of Mayfair’s “major new luxury openings”.
General manager Marco Novella, appointed in 2024, is leading the project’s pre-opening phase.
According to Novella, the hotel aims to blend London’s heritage with modern luxury, offering “a culturally engaging home away from home” for international guests and London residents.
Novella brings more than 20 years’ experience in luxury hospitality. Before joining St Regis, he was managing director of Hotel Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel in Venice, from 2021 to 2024, and previously led the Lanesborough in London from 2018 to 2021.
Designed by Richmond International, the redevelopment includes two new floors, an extended rear section for public areas, and a full renovation of the façade and main entrance. The interiors will reflect Mayfair’s tradition of craftsmanship through artisanal detailing and bespoke finishes.
Facilities will include a 90-cover signature restaurant, a late-night jazz bar, a library, and a private dining room for up to 18 guests. The hotel will also feature two spa suites with plunge pools, saunas, personalised treatments, and a gym.
The St Regis London will integrate the brand’s butler service and social traditions such as Midnight Suppers, drawing inspiration from the Astor family, founders of the original St Regis in New York.
The opening will expand Marriott International’s luxury footprint in the city, adding to its existing portfolio of brands across the capital.
Novella said: “For the last year, I have been honoured with the task of building the finest team at The St Regis London to bring this iconic brand to life in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
“The St Regis experience is defined by its legacy of impeccable service and sophisticated style, and I look forward to creating a destination that captures the spirit of Mayfair while celebrating the timeless elegance for which the brand is renowned.”
