Story Hospitality has announced the appointment of Ameer Rehman as its new vice president of finance, as the group continues to expand its operations across the UAE, Seychelles, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
Rehman, a fellow chartered accountant who trained with PwC, has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership across the hospitality sector in the UK, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and wider EMEA markets.
Prior to joining the group, Rehman was senior vice president of finance at Cool Inc, where he reported to the group chief executive and oversaw capital structure strategy, investments, financial planning and group-level controls.
He previously spent more than a decade with Hilton in senior regional finance roles across the Middle East and Africa. During that period he managed multiple markets and led work to improve profitability, strengthen compliance and governance frameworks, and support talent development, including launching Hilton’s first finance graduate scheme in Saudi Arabia.
Victor Abou-Ghanem, chief executive of Story Hospitality, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ameer Rehman to Story Hospitality. His deep financial acumen, global hospitality experience, and forward-looking leadership will bring tremendous value to our organisation as we advance our growth strategy and deliver exceptional results for our owners and partners.”

Story Hospitality, part of Abu Dhabi Capital Group, said Rehman’s appointment comes as it focuses on financial discipline, innovation and value creation for owners and partners. The company is also developing a wider leadership team as it pursues expansion supported by work on sustainability, digitalisation and a people-first culture.
